Why independent movement matters
Independent compression can help a coil unit adapt more locally to weight and movement.
Coil count is not everything
A larger coil count is not automatically a better mattress. Gauge, layout, coil height, zoning, comfort layers and overall construction all matter.
Edge design
Some mattresses use special perimeter coils; others surround the coil unit with dense foam.
